Give AI a clearer brief.
Write better AI prompts for business tasks with a clear brief covering the task, context, audience and output. Includes a practical handover example.

A clear brief gives your assistant something concrete to work towards. Use this structure to explain the work you need done.
Start with the work, not a persona
“Act as an expert” does not tell an assistant what you need to get done. A useful brief names an action and a concrete result: “Turn these project notes into a handover for the colleague covering my work on Friday.”
Then explain the reader. What do they already know? What decision or next step should the result support? A colleague taking over a project needs open actions, owners and unresolved issues. A manager checking progress may need a short status update and a decision request. The same source material can support different outputs.
Before writing a long prompt, finish this sentence: “The person reading this should be able to…” If the answer is unclear, the task probably needs a little more thought.
